Why Travel?
Have you ever noticed that when people travel (on vacation), they smile A LOT?

It may be because when One "gets away" from the hum-drum of the daily routine, One receives rest and relaxation, melting away worries about duty and obligations. Or perhaps, because One "gets away" from the life he has created, One is more at ease, therefore, aligning to the Self and atuning to Spirit? It could be different reasons for different people.

When we're on vacation, we beam. We love the excitement of experiencing new cultures, meeting new people and living an aspect of life unknown to us. Travel changes us and helps us grow. Here are just some reasons why we travel...

Adventure: When we were children, we used tools to find adventure: our imagination, toys, books, television, radio programming and the company of others just to name a few. As we become adults, our resources expand to using tools like: live theatre, movies of all sorts, television (again) and even radio for nostalgic reasons. With travel, adventure is accessible to us in the front seat. Instead of passively watching what life could be, we have the opportunity to actively participate by living, breathing, seeing, smelling, hearing life as it travel to our chosen destinations.

Culture: Through language and cuisine, we experience culture. We love discovering traditions and how they have evolved through the various different cultures around our earth. The mere fact that every culture has traditions and rituals help us understand just how connected we truly are despite having different ways of celebrating our victories. No longer do we settle for television programming to learn about global cultures, we prefer to "watch" it (and live it) first-hand.

Excitement: Human cultures around the world fascinate and excite us. It is exciting to see the pyramids for the first time. It is exciting to set eyes on the Great Wall of China for the first time. Through travel, we get to marvel at the accomplsihments of our human kind, and be totally in awe. The flavor of newness is exciting!

Education: Travel educates us. Despite the excitement, we see the great accomplishments of our ancestors all over the globe and know we are still One kind as all our basic human needs remain the same...

Since we have both traveled before we met, and anticipate even more travel now that we have found each other, we have categorized our travel writings in the "bce" and "ace" form. The acronyms "bce" stand for (your guessed it) before Cliff & Evie, and "ace" mean after Cliff and Evie.
